I specialize in rural, landscape, event, and commercial photography. Whether it’s capturing the beauty of nature or important life moments, I’ve got you covered.

Define typical! I have worked with a wide range of clients, both individuals and businesses. I’ve worked with small local businesses and large corporations and institutions, not to mention those in the non-profit and educational sectors. Every project is unique and important to me, and I pride myself on being approachable and professional.

In addition to material for my clients, my own photography has appeared in magazines and newspapers in the UK, USA, and New Zealand. Additionally, I’ve been a guest on The Fujicast and Photography Daily podcasts, talking about my rural photography projects.

My exhibition ‘Land of the Close Sky’ showcased images from my Mail to Messy mail run at South Canterbury’s Susan Badcock gallery. Feel free to explore this unique collection in the gallery on my site here.

I mostly specialise in smaller weddings in non-traditional venues, family homes or elopements. I have contact with helicopter pilots who can assist with getting small bridal parties to remote back country locations.

Nearly all my work is undertaken on an hourly rate. This is for both on-site shooting and for post-processing, which are both charged at the same rate. I find this is particularly transparent for weddings as I am usually able to advise on how many hours of post-processing is required after the event. Unlike some wedding photographers, I am happy to be at your big day only for the hours you require. If you’re trying to keep an eye on your budget, this can be very helpful.
